My skin was tingling; the hair on my head vibrated and the ground started shaking as if the earth was going to swallow me in one gulp. Fire, smoke, and steam belched from the rapidly approaching black dragon. It raced toward me eating railroad tracks that lay in its path. I started rolling down the hill while some of my friends screamed and waved their arms. These were sounds of joy that never tired as we watched the familiar steam engine thunder through our small town every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. But, the black dragon as we called it wasn’t the best. Our favorite part of the train was the very last car, the caboose. Now grown with a child of my own, I returned to the place of my childhood to share my fondest memories. But to my disappointment, my favorite car, the Red Candy Caboose had disappeared. Now you can join us in the search and surprise ending of the “The Red Candy Caboose.”
