Robert Tabern

It's no surprise that Robert developed a deep love for train travel. After all, his father, Thomas, grew up in Lake Bluff, Illinois along the Chicago & North Western's main line between Chicago and the Twin Cities. His mother, Rita, grew up along the very busy "Evanston Express" CTA train line in Evanston, Illinois.

Robert was born in August 1979 in the northern suburbs of Chicago and spent his younger years living in Skokie, Morton Grove and Northbrook, Illinois. Robert loved to ride Metra trains with his mother on the weekends and hear old stories of the Chicago & North Western from his father. It was at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, IL that Robert discovered his other passion in life, broadcast communications.
