An 18 x 24 painting of an Erie decapod rolling down Railroad Avenue in Elmira, New York
In the mid-30s the Erie build a viaduct down Railroad Avenue to eliminate conflicts between city traffic and heavy train traffic. Note the relaxed posture of the train crew, who have made this move an hundred times before. This painting reference came from an original black and white photograph taken by the artists grandfather in the late 1920s or early 30s.
